While the era of the plastic bag was ending in New York (which was great news for whale blowholes and the world we live in), there still were plenty of other ways we could schlep the shit we buy each day. So, my art director partner and I started a passion project to drive awareness of the plastic bag ban.
Notes:
We poured our own money, time, and efforts into concepting, writing, and illustrating the Schlep website, even hiring a developer and involving an animator friend. The tone is satirical and silly, the opposite of a preachy environmental site.
